From ceramic coffee mugs to travel coffee mugs, our mugs are made for actual daily use, not just display. Sturdy handles, solid builds, and sizes that fit however much coffee your morning really needs.
Sizing Your Mug
What size is a standard coffee mug? Most fall somewhere between eight and twelve ounces, enough for a single cup of drip coffee without leaving too much room for it to go cold before you finish. Anything smaller usually counts as a tea cup or espresso cup, while anything noticeably larger starts moving into oversized or novelty territory rather than everyday use.
How many ounces is a coffee mug, more specifically? A standard ceramic coffee mug usually lands around eleven ounces, which has become something of an industry default for good reason, it holds a full cup of coffee with a little room at the top so you can still add cream or milk without spilling. Larger mugs, sometimes labeled as a coffee lover mug or oversized mug, can run fifteen to twenty ounces or more, built for people who would rather not refill halfway through their morning.
Every coffee cup style serves a slightly different purpose. A ceramic coffee mug holds heat well and feels solid in hand, best suited for sitting at a desk or table rather than moving around. A travel coffee mug, on the other hand, trades some of that heft for a sealed lid and insulated walls, keeping your coffee hot for hours while you are out running errands or heading to work. Tea mugs tend to run a bit larger than standard coffee mugs, since tea is often sipped more slowly and benefits from a bigger reservoir that holds heat longer over that extended time.
At Bailyes Coffee, our mug lineup covers all of these sizes and styles, so whether you drink one small cup or need something that lasts through your entire morning, there is a mug built around how you actually drink your coffee.
